McLaren's P1 Hypercar Revealed

There it is, in searing orange and sweeping curves, the successor to the F1. We’ll start seeing photos of this thing in the flesh when it debuts at the Paris Auto Show officially next week, but at least we’ve made it past the flashing lights of the teasers.

What’s underneath all that beautifully shaped sheet metal? A healthy dose of F1 derived technology from McLaren’s discreet skunkworks operations, to be sure. Push rod suspension, active aerodynamics, and a butt-load power are all pretty much guaranteed. More than likely they’re going to use a boosted version of the V8 they have in the MP4-12C. If the rumors are to be believed, it’ll also boast hybrid electric power similar to the kind being used by Ferrari’s F70. We’re guessing make between 800 and 900hp.

Until Paris, here are some more photos for you to oogle.
