The E30 is often noted as being one of the most pure, fun and exciting examples of 3-series ever to hit the market. Even the non-M versions had a certain magic in their chassis that meant everything from the 318i to the 325i would all be a pleasure to drive. Alpina, a long time BMW tuner was responsible for this car you see today.

It doesn’t use an M-car as it’s basis, but rather the humble 325i. However, displacement has been bumped to 2.7 liters, and overall output now at an impressive 210 horsepower. That was nearly a match to the M3’s output. The Alpina used the M20B straight siz as its basis, and did some other minor suspension, and visual mods. Of those visuals, a large front air-dam commands your attention. Out back, a slightly unusual squared off deck-lid spoiler is found. Inside, special Alpina seats and steeringwheel are to be found.

In total, 67 of these cars were made by Alpina, and the plaque on this one indicates it is number 40. It has been shipped over from Japan with only 22,000 miles on it and appears to be in immaculate condition. With a Buy It Now price of $57,500, it is sure to get a lot of E30 owners talking.
