Tunnel Blast From the Past: Tuned NSX Creates an Exhaust Symphony

The Acura NSX is one of those cars that stimulates every human sense (taste: I take corners tongue-out, like M.J.). Driving one is such a connected experience that it really gives you a full-body feel. However, one thing it’s not known for is being overtly raucous. But thanks to YouTuber BAUXITER1, we know there’s at least one NSX that takes exception to that.

This particular car in the wonderful video below started with the C32B engine that Acura made specifically for the NSX. Improved upon from the C32A, its displacement rose to 3.2 liters thanks to bigger pistons and fiber-reinforced metal (FRM) alumina-carbon fiber cylinders. It also had slightly bigger intake valves. But for this particular NSX, much of that has been changed since.

According to BAUXITER1‘s comment to a response on the video, this NSX has a Toda Racing piston kit, upgraded camshafts, upgraded connecting rods, a big-bore throttle, and an HKS F-Con V-Pro electronic control unit. Making all that noise are DC Sports headers, Taitec GT-009 Exhaust Pipes, and an HPI intake. All of that combines to make one hell of a sweet, sweet gift to our ears. The NSX would never go unnoticed like this.
