The USCC heads to Indianapolis for the Brickyard Grand Prix this weekend. This race will be made up of a full field, with 49 cars representing all four classes on the 2.435 mile permanent road course.

With only five races left in the 2014 championship, the teams will be fighting very for any chance to advance on the track or in the pits. This is the stage in the championship where teams will push hard as soon as the green flag drops.

Drivers are focused on getting the best possible spot on the grid and their teams are working hard to give them the best setups and equipment to do just that.

In the Prototype class, the Taylor brothers, Jordan and Ricky, are making their father proud. The Taylors have put the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Corvette DP in the top spot in the points standings. The Taylors are maintaining a five point lead over the No. 5 Action Express Racing Corvette DP of Joao Barbosa and Christian Fittipaldi.

The No. 42 OAK Racing Nissan/Morgan entry of Ho Pin Tung and Gustavo Yacaman have been impressive in the last few races and are the only Le Mans style car to score an overall victory, putting them in third place.

CORE Autosport drivers Colin Braun and Jon Bennett are having a great season so far. The pair have put the No. 54 car on top of the leader boards by being a model of consistency. The pair have won all but one race so far this year.

CORE’s closest rival is the No. 8 Starworks Motorsports entry piloted by Mirco Schultis and Renger van der Zande. The No 8 being the only team to break CORE’s winning streak this year. Behind the No. 8 is the 8Star Motorsports #25 machine of Luis Dias and Sean Rayhall.

Just 3 points separate the leaders in the GTD class. Bill Sweedler and Townsend Bell in the No. 555 AIM Autosport Ferrari 458 Italia have the upper hand at the moment.

John Potter and Andy Lally in the No. 44 Magnus Racing Porsche GT America will do everything they can to claim the top spot. The Alex Job Racing drivers, Cooper MacNeil and Leh Keen will be fighting to make up the 4 points keeping their No. 22 Porsche GT America in third place.
