Annoyed -- Coolant Leak
I stopped by the dealer to check out the Porsche...they found the leak on the top of the motor - one of the aluminum pipe's rubber grommets had failed slightly. So now they're waiting on parts to replace everything that might ever go bad under there
. Also going to have them unbolt the tranny from the motor and check out the condition of the clutch and replace the rear main seal.

It seems my plummer is a much faster worker than the local Porsche techs. He had the cracked pipe removed and replaced with something plastic in the time it took me to read through the new posts on this thread =)
DeepBlue, you'll have to take me for a ride in your freshly painted Porsche if the weather cooperates this week to distract me from my empty garage bay!

So it's confirmed one doesn't need to pull the engine for this (replacing an old yellow coolant tank)?
I ask because I'm leaking now, too... Poured in almost a gallon of coolant this morning...

That would definitely take some skill. The old coolant tank was left in the car when I saw mine with the motor and tranny pulled. Its jammed against the driver side rear fender - I imagine its pretty difficult to get out with everything else in there.
Probably about the time you decide to do something else to yours...
Sorry to hear of your troubles Imolafem, hopefully they get it back to a running state again shortly.

At this point, never. =( My repair bill is depressing me.
Now I need to figure out to do something with the clutch along with some other parts that should be swapped out per Kevin@UMW's recommendation.
