Very cutting edge and cool for the hipsters I'm sure. Boy those marketing guys/girls are earning their keep and their high priced college degrees are paying off.
Another example of nonsense. What next Jay Z and Kanye in advertisements?

Oh dear... I thought the Sharapova thing was pathetic, but this is a little strange.
Perhaps a misplaced attempt to be seen as "trendy".
But that's a word that I would never want to associate with my brand.
In all my years, I do not recall Porsche being so heavy on the marketing front.
Heck, I even saw a Macan commercial on TV the other day.
They'll eventually come back to earth. It's just a matter of time...

I don't think so. With new factories being built and new corporate headquarters, etc.. They have some pretty aggressive plans to broaden the appeal and sales numbers.
I believe we're at the beginning of something that wants to grow too quick and will make some stumbles along the way .....

There you go. Virtual car experience.
Pay to get your daily dose of driving without having to shell out 100K.
Just like Guitar Hero and Tony Hawk Pro Skater.
The VW umbrella shouldn't block being able to see the light ...

Could be worse...VW could badge a Beetle with a Porsche crest and charge an extra $50k.

My only offense was the use of $350 Bose headphones. At the very least use Sennheiser.

Porsche Design has been around quite a while. A Contax camera I purchased in the late 80s was a collaborative design by Porsche Design and Contax. I still have the camera, and it works like a champ! Was also among the most sophisticated non-auto focus cameras at the time, and of course used Zeiss lenses. They have collaborated on many things through the decades from lamps to flatware. Disconnect all this from cars and just think of it as an avant-garde design company, and retro is in vogue. Would you rather have another Star Bucks or Wal-mart? I'll take unique and interesting anytime. Wish I still had this photo, but in Brussels 10 years ago I couldn't help noticing the Mercedes LMP car sitting in the center of a retail outlet about the size of that store. It's cool to mix retail and functional art.

I don't find it annoying at all since its goal is to educate the average person about the brand and heritage.
What I do find highly irritating are the Porsche Design stores, that sells overpriced and IMO very ugly apparel.

It's an iPorsche store! The car division is doing this gig.
Why didn't they put a Cayman in back of the store instead of a 911?? : )
I think the hipsters might be more excited to see a Macan or something.
