Why would you go through that much trouble to get rid of the sunroof. Just leave it closed

I believe 911 Design has a carbon fiber replacement roof. I was considering this as we looked for our project car, however I got lucky and found a car with sunroof delete.

I would assume you would have to combine that mod with many other weight saving measures to make it worthwhile. Seems cost prohibitive to me unless you get paid to win

It looks like you are going pretty hard-core. I deleted mine and like to roarace a lot. Then I realized that this is my daily driver cuz I hate the Jeep now. It can't be both you know? Miss my sunroof.

I got a GT-2 roof skin and had it installed the factory way. You will save 35-42 lbs which is a lot on the roof of a race car. 3042 is light for a twin guys. I can tell you that cup cars go with CF so I would contact 911 Design or Porsche Motorsport and do that as again looks like you are doing it right and are past driving on the street. Go for the windows too (side and rear). Very heavy! Did you remove all the sound material from the 1/4 panels and rear? Hood and trunk mechanizms? I will try to find my list for you.

I use it mostly for porsche club races( rarely on road)
just 4 mods are missing:rollcage install
rooftop delete
air conditioning (delete)
front wheel drive(delete)
now I'm ready for the first two

Roof replacement panel from Porsche is not that expensive. Not a huge amount of work to replace either. Panel itself is surprisingly light --the sunroof lift out weighs. I did not weigh the parts removed-- but would guess about plus 15 kgs ( 33 lbs) . Not as big a saving as 993 - but still in a significant place.

Have you been driving that car without full cage (side cage) with these doors?

Honestly I would do the cage asap before luck runs out my friend.

I don't think I've ever seen a TT stripped out. Pretty cool. I can't believe you haven't done the AC or AWD drive deletes yet in a car like this.
