Does anyone know if this will work? I like the way the 991.2 sport steering wheels came out and was wondering if they can integrate easily to a 991.1. Only problem i can see is the sport and sport plus options are on the steering wheel now but the other options should work. Maybe I'm naive in this whole matter but just wanted to see if there were other Pcar owners with the same idea.

I would love to do this also. When i test drove a 991.2 the only thing i yearned for over and above my 991.1 was this new steering wheel. I am guessing this wont fit because of this small dial but perhaps the new wheel for a macan or cayenne which is the same ( only without the settings dial) would fit?

The MF 991.2 wheel will fit but I doubt that any of the buttons will work, not even the sport/sport + since the wiring connections might not be available. There was a module for the tip buttons on the 997s to make the paddle wheel work but I don't remember seeing a fix to get a MF wheel to work.

the best option might be a GT4 steering wheel, assuming you don't have MF steering wheel.

Wasn't that impressed with the new wheel. I have a heated MF wheel with CF on my 911. I didn't like how you can see the hub behind the wheel as the diameter of the center is so small. Just one guys opinion.....

Now the new PCM, me like.

If you have a sport design steering wheel wouldn't this be a straight swap?

It's more of the controls will work. Mine only has paddles right now. But would love the radio controls to work

I currently have the MF steering wheel in my 991.1. I Called my OPC about swapping this for the newer type steering wheel and after the parts advisor checked on their system, he told me the only alternative wheel listed is the sport design wheel. I asked if a new macan or cayenne wheel would fit ( since they dont have the rotary dial) and he said none of the new steering wheels would be a straight swap. I must admit, this seems wierd and unlikely. I guess its just another reason porsche think we maybe tempted to buy a newer car though in reality nobody will do so just for a steering wheel. Wouldnt be surprised if sooner or later one of us finds a dealer who says it can be done.

if you like this style steering wheel minus the rotary **** AND You have a Manual and no MF. The GT4 steering wheel + new style airbag would work.

I bought a steering wheel (http://www.suncoastparts.com/product...1G2PADDLE.html) and the appropriate airbag after consulting with Suncoast.

It's a paddle-only swap, and I'll let everyone know how / if it works.
