I use VP CMP in my NA dragbike. I can leave the fuel in all winter with no issues. My buddy left about a gallon of MRX01 in his tank for the winter, come spring he needed a new fuel pump, injectors and a fuel rail.

Question

In Canada, we have 94 octane.

What octane is your gas in the USA?

the reason being that if you are tuned for pump gas (91-93), adding 100 in there will not help, unless you happen to have less than 91-93 due to bad batch. So if all conditions are right you will not notice much of a gain.

yes but in Canada, you measure octane like Europe which means you have more like 89

I use this for every batch of ms109, so that it is well aerated

I will add that xylene is corrosive so be careful not to get it on paint, same goes for toluene. Better to mix 1 gallon of toluene in a 5 gallon can of gasoline then pour it into your car, just so that you do not accidentally get it on your fender.

couple hints for using Toluene or Xylene as additive.

Go to a Sher Williams, setup a cash account and bargain the price. I did that a long time a go, this will lock your price, and I just got two 5 gallon drums at $11 a gallon, Xylene was even cheaper at $9.

Never go over 30% mixture, even if you are using Marvel Mystery Oil. Since this kind of HC have very slow burning speed, you will actually have gas burning on the exhaust stroke if the mixture is to strong.

Go with Toluene if you can, even thou the octane is a bit lower, it is a bit less harmful to the car seals.

Never get too much at the same time, specially Toluene.
Since Toluene is one of the main ingredients in Trinitrotoluene TNT, you will endup on a FBI list.
There is an AudiWorld member that went to jail for buying too much.
So i know the 55 gallons drum will tempted you, but i would stay way.

Prche951, heh...Good one!

CrazyDude, speak for yourself out by the oil sands. I haven't been able to find readily available over-91 for the past several years east of Ontario. We used to have 92, but I think it disappeared back in '02 or something like that.

I've ran both; MS109 (105 octane) and Sunoco 104. The Sunoco 104 has always seemed to make my car run better. I also run the Sunoco 100 and my car loves it. I've used VP, Sunoco and Torco fuels, and so far, Sunoco has worked out the best for me.
