Decided to take the car to the track tuesday night with a friend in his 335i. Got there kind of late and got a few passes in. All passes trapped the same speed ~136mph since I was riding 4th with 7100rpm limiter and not going to 5th simply because I didnt have enough time to experiment. With a bit harder launch car woulda went 10.75-10.8 as it sits AWD on street tires. Next time I may try RWD and add a splash of 100octane into the mix..

I also cut my best 0-60 time at the track of 3.3 seconds.

Overall I was surprised how well it hooked at the track.

11.2@135 with 2.06 60', 3.7k launch, bogged bad
11.0@136 with 1.91 60', 4.5k launch, bogged pretty bad
10.91@136 with 1.845 60', 5k launch, felt decent but can be better

After that I felt my goal for the night was reached and parked up

Not being disrespectful, the times were lower than I expected with the 3076s.

There is time and mph left on teh table - I think.

AWD, 6spd, 19" Street tires are all limiting factors especially when you get into the 10s. From what I can tell on 6spd list there are only 5 guys that went faster ET AWD, not sure if they were auto or manual.

This run was full street weight, street tires without even adjusting pressure in them, 93 with no 100 added. First time to drag strip with this setup, I literally drove in and ran.

Ill get my 18" DR strapped on, RWD and we'll see where that takes me with more practice

 

Awesome time. With better tires and better launch you may cut 1.6-1.7 in the 60ft. Definitely low 10s capable with that setup.

 

You have to have some time and mph left with that setup. Will be waiting for your round#2 report. Enjoy!

Great...With some lower 60' times and your MPH you have, you will be in the mid to low 10s...Practice makes perfect,, also you can always take some weight out ...lol....Conquring the dyno was first,now the strip.......Good Luck..

 

Also,how were the air temps then??Was it cooler,later in the night, on your best run??

 

When you consider that's on 19" street tires and straight 93oct pump...10.90s is pretty impressive.

Get some 18" DRs on it and with race gas it's easily a mid 10sec car.

 

That's a good trap speed. What's your 60-130 time? Can you break 6s?

 

thanks buddy. unfortunately u weren't there and big sexy tried to tape with his phone. i havent seen the footage but it'll be on youtube whenever that dummy figures out how to connect his phone to the computer.

yeah 10.8 was right there on tuesday but i didnt feel like making another run just because it was after 10 and if something broke it woulda been tough to figure things out. when you run these times you always have to keep that in mind. i drove to and from the track, and to work the follwing day

temps were good. about 60 degrees. dragtimes DA adjustment puts this pass at 10.87 which is pretty close to the original 10.91. conditions were good, track prep felt good too.

there will be improvemnt from just going 19 ->18. my rear tire is a 25 profile lol. also keep in mind meth injection was used but that is how this car runs on daily basis. no tire pressure changes, no fuel mixing. same way as if you were to bump into me on a street light

trap was identical on the 3 runs because 4th gear runs out before the traps so for last bit i was bouncing off the redline in 4th gear. i did that to keep consistency in the passes to see time variance from launch. i think i should be able to get close to or just over 140 with DRs and RWD.

my best 60-130 was sunday after cars & coffee. 6.3 seconds with 200 pound passenger and some slight misfires and wheel spin AWD. one or few of my coilpacks may be going so car gets misfires after rain or carwash, and it got a nice wash saturday before Cars & Coffee.
