Need opinion on interior trim

I'm thinking of replacing the center console on my Arctic silver 996 TT Cab. I found this on ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/360468557141...#ht_500wt_1182

Anyone have an opinion on how this will look on a turbo with the standard brushed aluminum trim work on the MT shifter, a/c vents etc? What about adding the matching center trim around the PCM unit and a/c vent and ashtray delete in the same arctic silver? The price is reasonable. The console is $299 and mine is a bit scratched and I would like a new upgrade.

They tell me I would use the cushioned armrest to the console that I currently have (which is a grey leather), how is all of this going to look? A bit of too much "mish- mosh"? Can use your help. Also, how difficult for a diy job for a not very handy guy? Also thinking of adding some aluminum sport pedals?

only that they're 99 bucks and i never see em because my feet are all over them. they work great! the rennline pedals are much more $... but if i hadda a gt2, well maybe..... lol

i will say they are a bit "brand" heavy with the porsche lettering. four pedals, four porsche lettered logo's. it's a bit much.

Sorry, once again here is the link to the ebay seller:

Your thoughts on this for arctic silver 996TT, grey interior, with the typical brushed aluminum TT trim.

It looks fine and price seems ok, but not so sure about the contrast btw the grey armrest against the silver console. I appreciate your concern. The console would look much better if you had a black armrest. Tough call sight unseen.

I was considering the same piece. I have an artic silver TT as well with a few brushed aluminum pieces. For a nice OEM look, I would personally only add an aluminum brushed center console, otherwise it won't match properly. Not sure if that exists though

Another concern I had is that a *painted* piece might scratch very easily.

I have the grey interior with aluma steering wheel, shifter, and ebrake against an exterior of Artcic silver. I added a painter center console in Arctic and you can't even tell the difference. Honestly Porsche uses several shades of silver on the interior pieces anyway.

agreed, but usually ya only see two logos at a time. dead pedal or either clutch or brake. unless you heel/toe, in which case....less logo's yet!

but true.. just getting in the car and looking down. no one asks "so, what kind of car is this, anyway"?

i once had that alum ebrake and the polar silver center console piece paint to match exterior, and it looked great... those alum ebrake's handles are not cheap either!

Deckman, do you have any pics of the console against the aluminum? No issue with scratching or chipping of the painted console? That was another concern of mine also.
