and you'll never know how much better the car handles until you change to poly mounts.

My 65K stock mounts were fine also, my new Porsche RS mounts are finer. Nothing dramatic, but noticeable.
Are they $400 better? I think so.

s65e90 is infamous around these parts
Torque solutions engine/trans mounts were the best thing I did for the driveability and shifting improved exponentially.

That said, it doesn't look like anyone has really had any negative experiences from any semi-solid mount. This seems to be a straightforward and low risk change.

Given my mods, I'll like do one of the aftermarket mounts. And the Wevo's seem to be well priced with good quality, while functionally the same design as the rest. The only one I see that has a tangible difference is the rennline mounts, as it includes 3 inserts of different durometer.

The OEM RS semi solid motor mounts are very good. I've had them on my car for 4 years. Zero issues. I always use OEM if possible. I'm not a fan of aftermarket as I've been burned too many times. With that said, motor mount are not rocket science and the aftermarket stuff is well proven. Pretty much all the same. If I wasn't using the RS mounts, I'd run the Rennline tunable mounts or their full solid mounts. Both of those look good.

Very harsh

Rs are much stiffer than wevo or rs mounts. I installed them and removed them in favor of wevo.

haven't seen any mentions of the minimal yet noticeable added nvh that results from swapping even to semi's. while it's a vast improvement in tautness and offers a more visceral and connected drivetrain *feel" it does add nvh, but to a tolerable degree. still, noticeable to anyone.

something about "removing" rubber that will often offer a more ( ahem ) *enjoyable* ride? just be prepared for a bit more nvh that many purely street driven cars and drivers, may not prefer.

but generally speaking, less rubber = more fun

rcusic, which RS mounts are you saying are too harsh, the porsche RS mounts or the RSS mounts?

+1, the trans mounts do add NVH but huge improvement in shifter quality/accuracy

Actually, I mentioned the slight vibration I feel but I also did monoball toe links, rear LCA, solid LCA pucks in rear, and monoball top strut mounts...

Keep in mind that the trans mounts will give a different result depending if you have a LWFW + Cup Cables + metal bushing shifter, versus a car that has the same trans mount and a stock dmfw + stock cables and a plastic bushing shifter. Dramatic difference.

Which fw / shifter/ cable are you running on the GT2?

Mounts

I added rs mounts and thought they were too harsh. Wevo is just right.

Porsche rs mounts.

To be clear - Porsche rs mounts were too harsh.

I just replaced my stock mounts with new stock mounts. I don't track. I experienced a small amount of driveline "******" previously when backing off or rolling on the throttle. That is completely gone now.

I also did Tarett LCA monoballs and solid toe link bushes at the same time. There is a very modest increase in suspension noise, but if anything, the ride quality is slightly better. Wheel control and tracking in corners is markedly improved. I was surprised that understeer has improved as well.
