100-200 kph (62-124 mph) times for various cars and motorcycles
I've seen a quite a few references to 100-200 kph times on the forum as of late, so I thought I'd put together a quick reference list of some cars and motorcycles for those that are using the times to compare acceleration capability.
Great list. Interesting info. Let's add to the list. What are they bing measured with? What are the "rules"? How many shifts?
Would also like to know

RS4 does 100-200 in 10.7 seconds.... not 12.2 !! search on youtube and their are plenty of runs... take a stopwatch and you will see it is under 11 seconds
I couldn't tell you. You'll have to ask the magazine writers that performed the tests.
Good point duh

Alright, noob question for the DBox. How does it calculate the 60-130 time?
Do you have to specifically set it to do so, or at anytime, you can just rip it and it will automatically begin loading.
You have two user programmable settings that you can set to check any speed ranges you want.
Once it is set up, you can just ride around, find a good place to go(preferably somewhere nice and flat) , lower your speed below your starting set speed, and then have at it!
For 60-130, I start around 45-50mph to get the turbos spooled for max torque.
Very easy to set up, and it calculates the times based on GPS coordinates over time.
You can make a bunch of runs in a row, if you wish, all without ever touching the unit.

Thanks for the info. And after all is done, does it simply plug into your computer and you load the data?

Good data Scott.
Luis, these tests (if from Einszweidrei), are performed from 0 kph-250 or 300kph, therefore all the times that you see here are obtained while running through as many gears as needed to go from zero to that speed, going through all the gears, like on the drag strip.
Depending on the car (brand) gearbox and tire sizes you get a different number of shifts. They are not specific 100-200kph test runs that they do in one gear.
I have accurate data for about 200 cars with their gear ratios and tire sizes, if you would like to know about the number of gears for a specific car, please ask.

LOL....stopwatch runs don't count.
But yes, that was a typo on my part. I meant to write 11.2. That's the fastest run I found for the RS4 sedan, with the other one being 12.2.
FYI...all runs listed are the best I could find for each specific car.
