LED Tails...

Two reasons to go with the 997.2.
1. They look nearly exactly like a set of factory tail lights that Porsche made vs. taking an older style tail light (996 MKII) and making them into LEDs.
2. At night they light up as bright or close to a factory set up. You may want to confirm the Spyders are equally bright.
Just upgraded the interior lighting to LED as well. (Engine compartment, Trunk, License Plate, Dome, Map Lights, Door Lights and Glove Box) If anyone wants a 10 bulb kit to do theirs I have a spare I'd sell for $45.

They have done these for the C4S. Unfortunately, they tried to design them to look like the 997 tail lights and they don't really flow with the curves of the wide body 996. Go over to the 996 turbo forum and you can find a thread on this with photos. Have a look and make up your own mind, but to me they are absolutely hideous. The really look awful.

If I had a C4S I would probably just add premium LED bulbs to the existing housings. The back of it is just so perfect and balanced I wouldn't tamper with it. And maybe if it works with the exterior color I would have a body shop spray the lights and center strip with a clear that has been lightly tinted with red.

Visited the 996TT forum (link below), like the lights and made contact with the UK supplier. End of month hopefully these will be ready for supply.

Very nice! I just got mine installed also, bought them from Dectane. And I am very pleased.

I just put in the 997.1 style... $266 from CARID. Great price, although I love the 997.2 style, triple the cost was too much for me.
Anyway, they fit fine, not as tight as factory, but good enough. Everything works great and they are bright, no issues at all. Look so nice too.
