996 NB 1999 Rear Wheel Size 295/30
I drive a 1999 NB with a stock suspension and recently purchased a pair of 18x10 Twist II wheels. These are not the turbo twist wheels but the early base style in a larger width and diameter with a 65mm offset.
My questions is can I fit a 295/35 or 295/30 without rubbing in the rear? Anyone have this size wheels and tire? Pictures?
Thanks.

1) 18x11 GT3 wheels with 63 mm offset. R888 Tires are 295 30. I may put spacers on since they are not flush but this is what I use on the track so no big deal.
2) 18x10 Cargraphic wheels with 47mm offset which is a pretty aggressive offset. Running 285 30 BF Goodrich tires. This combination looks awesome. Can't wait till track season is over to put them back on. Pic of these are attached. The GT3 wheels with the 295's are probably in about 5 mm from these.

Thank you for your replies. I did an extensive search and found little if no confirming information on the MKI 1999-2000 NB using 295/30 or 295/35s on their 65mm offset OEM 18x10 wheels. The overwhelming majority of posts have been for the MKII 996s with variations on wheel widths and offset.
I'm going to try the 295/30 or 295/35s on my rears and lets see what happens. We may just be the pioneers on this subject and years from now when the IMS issues are a thing of the past and 996 owners are trying to keep their stock wheels they'll reference this thread!
Woohoo!!
Cheers
