Switzer Performance Innovation 997TT runs a record 9.79@146.4!
So I talked Tym into driving David Kim's 997tt over to Norwalk this morning to a last minute invite at a private track rental I was attending...and just on his 3rd pass....he ran a 9.79 @ 146 with a 1.66 60 ft!
Unbelievable job considering he didn't prep/change a thing on the car. I think this was only his second trip to the drag strip with a Porsche, so Tym is far from a 'rent a pro' driver. He Just drove it straight off rt 18 into Norwalk 100% full weight with a full tank of race gas, never even touched the air pressure, and lined up and ripped off a 10.6 @ 146 with a 2.2 60 ft. (his slowest pass). He was also using stock axles too! After a low 10 second 2nd pass, he launched it for the first time on the 3rd pass. By that time the rental was shutting down as I would have loved to see it run again!!!
The performance of this purely bolt-on/standalone kit is just staggering.
I think someone got it on video, so I hope Tym posts it soon!
BTW, I broke my stock axle and ripped the screws out of my sidewalls cutting a 1.3 60 ft on my Supra on the first pass....so basically my afternoon sucked.

Thanks for the invite today Jamie... although a little more notice would have been great.
I thought it was my 4th pass, but you know... you may be right. It may have been my 3rd. It's been a long week already, lol, so I may be losing it!
Here's a link to a video of the pass...

the 60 - 130 was 4.9 seconds on that pass with 2 shifts. i asked tym to drive it the same way i would drive it on the street (full weight, full tire pressure, etc.). i guess the driftbox was right on at 146 mph!
