GT2 clutch slave conversion - any regrets?

GT2 clutch slave conversion - any regrets?
I had the intermittent hard clutch for the past year or so (mostly if I left it sitting for 2 or 3 days), but now every morning for the past couple weeks the clutch pedal is super hard. I've checked the fluid level and it seems fine, so I guess I'm just waiting for the clutch accumulator to fail. Those that have done the GT2 clutch slave conversion, any regrets on having done it? Thx

I had the same experience as you described. I sat in a GT2 and tried the clutch pedal. It was really had and not practical for a car as a DD. Sitting in traffic is going to be a PIA. I proceeded to swap with accumulator, slave and master with new OEM units for practical reasons. IMO do it if you use your car less frequently or on weekends.

I am looking into clutch upgrades before I tune my car.
I have driven another 997TT with the GT2 Slave conversion, and with the much increased pedal feel, I am really thinking about not doing the conversion. I don't like the increased pedal effort, in fact I don't really want it.
Besides the Accumulator failure, what am I really missing out on?

Just did the GT2 conversion. I find the car much easier to drive from a stop or on uneven ground. I live in a rural area with not much flat ground. On the other hand if you live in a stop and go traffic area I would not even consider it as the clutch is WAY more stiff and hard to hold than stock. My car is a sunny day or weekend toy so not a deal breaker for me.

Nice one bro thanks for sharing. I know what I'm buying if my accumulator fails again.

I am on the fence here too... I drive my car almost daily and deal with stop and go traffic often. I'm worried the conversion will make me less likely to drive my car and so i'm worried about it...
contemplating the BBI or the Evoms conversion coupled with the sachs 2.5 - I'm hopeful i will get to try out a stock GT2 clutch sometime before making a decision.

Parts are around $600 to do the tap & drill method (OEM), so if the trans is coming out anyway, that's the time to do it. Trans removal is the big expense there. The other kits allow you to do the job without removing the transmission, but the kits cost more. You have to choose which works best for you.
