Europipe stage 1 and CEL

Have had my europipe stage 1 on my 09 turbo cab for about 2500 miles (about 5 months). Great sound, no issues, better throttle response, until I got a check engine light today. Checked the gas cap first and it was not that. Car is scheduled to go to dealer to check air conditioning this Friday so I will have them check this as well. Anyone have any cel's with europipe? My understanding is that this should not be an issue. Car runs fine with the cel. I have not noticed any difference. Got home and will not drive it until it goes to dealer. Car has 19500 miles

Thoughts?

Go to AutoZone (or someplace similar) and see what the DTC codes are - then maybe we can help...otherwise we'll just be guessing. CEL's are caused by emissions issues so your CEL could be many things in addition to exhaust.

Just re-read your post- thought you had CEL for CAT- If you don't know what CEL code is you're shooting in dark since as said above, CEL is caused by huge number of items- Most likely it has nothing to do with EP. If it's related to CAT then send email to Stef & ask him. He'll respond quickly and has absolutely first rate customer service. From what he has told me he's had no failures in 8 yrs on 997.1/997.2 exhausts.

Stef will provide the best customer service...but he won't be able to diagnose the CEL without more info.

Verify what the cel is, might not be exhaust related. In fact this would be the first ep1 if so so I doubt it is the cause.

Yeah...unfortunately "CEL" has become the generic term for any warning light and there are lots of different lights - it would be nice to have more info.

Yes I've had cels for a loose ambient temperature sensor. If you don't have a durometric in then you could spend lots of trips to the dealer!

Picked up my car and cel ended up being nothing....dealer could not give me much of an answer, saying some sort of "misfire code". They said everything checked out and reset it. Glad it was nothing. Car runs and sounds terrific with Europipe stage 1.
