I've been sitting on this old 65' Lincoln Continental (yes the suicide doors) for awhile and I've been debating whether or not to restore or to just dump it. First off I wonder if anyone could recommend a good mechanic in the Orange County, CA area to get this thing looked at to see if the motor is any good. Any suggestions?

sedan or convertible? They are great cars! In my old neighborhood back in Long Island, a neighbor had matching sedan and convertible in light green in showroom condition!

 

My dad has a 1961 Continental sedan. He is the second owner. Sky Blue. I say do it.

 

I have the sedan hard top. I'm thinking I may end up keeping it and doing the project. Sourcing parts for these things is a nightmare but I guess that's what makes it fun.

Yeah I was that Mobsteel car and it gave me a few ideas of my own. This would eliminate the sourcing of certain parts and give the car an updated look. I was debating on doing a restore but I think I might go for an updated look instead.

 

That Mobsteel car is sick but it will cost you some change. If money is no option hell yeah.

 

Yeah that thing looks like it will cost an arm and a leg and possibly a kidney.

 

I think they run in the six figures fully customed out.

 

Yeah that's a little too much for a Conti. I mean I love this thing but I don't love it that much.
