FS: '02 TT X50 $45k
I've decided it's time to sell the TT if I can find the right buyer. I've got over $250K in receipts and I'll be d*mned if I am going to sell this to someone who doesn't appreciate the car. I've been on 6Speed from day one and know everyone here can appreciate the car and how much has been done to it. I am selling it for $10K (at a minimum) less than what I could get on the open market and probably what I could get taking it to a dealer and selling it wholesale but I refuse to let them make a profit on it.
The car has a Sieg Kries exhaust (switch on dash switches from cat to straight pipes), DAS leather wrapped roll bar, GIAC ECU, custom headers, custom instrument pod in console, Gembella steering wheel, RUF pedals, PSS-9, spoiler, silver emblems on hood and mats, new tires, new windshield -
Car is a rocket. I'm the guy with the nerve damage on the left side so it's a TIP. Original owner, non-smoker, passenger seat has been sat in less than 10 times, 35,000 miles, all records, no accidents, just had spoiler and hood painted to get rid of the rock dings.

PM or email me
I'm in Carlsbad which is a few minutes north of San Diego.
UPDATE: I really appreciate everyone's interest. We all have dreams and this car was my "dream car" and I guess I can't let the dream die yet. Again, thanks for the interest.

The fact that a Turbo can be had for this kind of coin is mind-boggling.
Good luck on a gorgeous car.

I am the original owner. I gave all the original equipment away or tossed it.

Porsche pumped out 996s and 996 TT like there was no end to it. A normally aspirated 993 is worth more than most TTs.

Ken,
I don't understand your logic of not selling it for more money if you can get it in the open market or dealer. What makes you think a 6speed buyer will appreciate your car more or less than the open market?
Good luck.

I put the car in the paper 6 months ago and people would call and say, well I saw this other '02 TT for $55K - I would explain that my car was an X-50 ($17K); had an $8K exhaust, $14K ECU upgrade, etc. and they didn't get it. I'd rather drive the thing off a cliff than sell it to someone who has no clue about what that car is. I care very little about money - this thing is a work of art.

Isn't that the truth. The issue was going from 18" to 19" (throw away the 18") go back to 18" (buy another set). Not the sharpest tool in the shed.
