Inexpensive way to get into a high performance car that is nearly track ready and has tasteful upgrades that only improve upon its driving characteristics and stance.

here is another bump for you because you will need many at this price, i've seen 997's with around 65k go for that price

I'd love to see were you've seen that -My guess is they had close to if not double the mileage and none of the 10k+ worth of upgrades.
But it exists with similar mileage and upgrades - show me- I'd make a killing buying and reselling

i think your having a problem selling it because of the upgrades, try parting out and selling for a reasonable price, thats just my opinion..

i respect your opinion Tarek307
At the end of the day it's up to individual preference and trade offs. You could get a 997 for low 30s (cheapest is saw in a quick search online) but it will be a bone stock with almost double the mileage- questionable history- BUT it is a more "desired" design.
Or you can opt for a highly upgraded 996 that addresses: suspension, mid range power, precision shifting, body flex, sound, aesthetic etc.
(or throw 10k+ at your high mileage 997 for a total of 40k)
If you're the type that will keep a car stock- this is not the car for you.
In my opinion i would be doing this car a disservice taking it back to stock configuration. It's an awesome drive- brings a smile to my face every time i get behind the wheel.

For the record the updated price is 28.5k
I beg to differ about the after market parts - completely transforms the car into a close to ready track car. 996 stock have sloppy shifts, soft suspension with the 4x4 look, poor mid range power, wimpy exhaust note etc
If youre a serious buyer- I welcome a test drive- only those that have driven the car, seen it, heard it , and looked at others on the market could really form a complete opinion on its value

my car has many more upgrades you will not get a return on any of them . trade the car into a dealer and they will give you book value. 01 mk1 cars are really bottoming out in the market they are a tough sell . they are 20k all day long and some are real nice too .
