FP makes some good turbo's and Robert really knows his stuff. Mitsubishi actually used him as a consultant for their new Evo X billet turbo that was just released. That being said the HTA was one of the first billet turbo's out there and has been around quite a while. It looks like some of the other companies have caught up or are very close to the HTA, your current 6262's being a prime example.

The 6262 is just a hair smaller than the HTA3586, but very close. Unfortunately FP doesn't provide compressor maps, but their results are always very good so their turbo's work well. I don't think the difference in going from the 6262's to the HTA3582 would be worth it, but you seem to like to try new things. It would be nice to see a true comparison between them.

yes it would. on both low boost and high boost. 21psi on both and 31 on both. also need to get that rpm signal to get torquezzz

Hey tim, i'm running HTA 3582 and made 1305hp 35psi spinning the tires, I lowered the boost 32psi 1240hp 1033 tq. I overlapped your map with mine at 100mph, your car makes 500hp on the dot. I made 755hp and at 175mph 1189hp and yours dropped off before 160. I guess is g ratio related. robert is updating my turbo after this event..you are going right? my transmission is fixed again.

Tim a non bs aside question. Did you re-gear 4th as well? I was looking at the graphs from the kaboom day and @ 100 I'm about 4600-4800 RPM on my 27.2" tires. I'm going back and fourth via dyno information. We never hooked up the speed sensor and had it work past a 120mph.

Looks like the 6262's come in a little earlier ~800 RPM (I'm guessing due to the .63 housings). At 4800 (~100mph) I'm at 10.7psi (taken from fcon logs) but I know thats probably due to the 1.06 housings. I noticed you had the earlier generation intake (yours maybe better I dont know honestly) I have (Have the modified motorsport GT3 intake (we had to cut out the smaller equalizer and remove the blade on the big equalizer tube). We are going to play with it some and probably end up back at .82's because the idea of the intake system was not thought to be the problem. Hopefully two more weeks and I'll have the motor back in! Good luck this weekend!

Also Matt said thank you! (he's in the Bahamas right now so he gets on LATE at night to check email/etc.)

damn 800 RPM is alot in car's feel. my 6262s with .82ARs come on 500rpm later then my Alpha3076s did and it feels completely different on the road. big difference in feel.

how much spool did you lose by going to the big housing? i have also been thinking of going down to the .63s

Mark when I get home I'll pull through the dyno graphs I have. I only have what is on my copy of my bootcamp on my Mac. I ran .82's on my 5857's and the spool to me was awesome, but just as you and I have talked in the past probably is what saved my stock bottom end because spool moved peak torque back. The GTX35's had .82 from the get go as well and the lag difference was there, but it wasn't like what I thought it was going to be.

Seat of the pants honestly it didn't feel much worse. I was told by Jake it was like 300-400 RPM USUALLY. Though on the logs 1000 RPM later I'm at 31-33psi (this pull I peaked 36psi). My cars graphs aren't the most linear it hits boost and you just hold on.

yeah i looked at your 5857 dyno before and my 6262.

at 4k u were at 380wtq and i am at 450
at 5k u were at 670wtq and i am at 760

tq for tq my 62s are spooling 500rpm sooner then ur old 58s

but thats explainable because you didnt have the ballbearing, and i have the ballbearing with new billet CEA wheels. still crazy how much the tech is advancing.

btw have u figured out what that dip was in that 868 dyno? i have seen it recently on two GT30 cars. my car never had that dip

do you have your 1050 E85 dynojet run files from .82AR GTX35s. if my turd ever breaks a 1000whp i'd like to overlay and see how 6262s work vs GTX35 and VS HTA3586 and HTA3582.

Cool hope he is have a great time.. Yes I am using the 996 one way better for our use. Your heads need to mach it though, ported stock with 2mm over valve is not enough and chokes it. Dont forget we are dumping 750-800 lbs of fuel an hour at that part of the head. I am Have omre butting up to do and they I will revisit the turbos. Thanks I and going to do my best..
