Porsche Service in GTA (Toronto)

Hi All,

New to the forum, new to the Porsche family

Was wondering where you get your cars serviced. Oil changes, wheel installs, etc. I know it's recommended that all services be done by a Porsche authorized dealership and if that's the case then so be it but wanted to know if there were any decent alternatives.

Thanks.

Welcome to 6spd and congrats on the Porsche.

As for service, I took my pcar to Sports Car Boutique in the past. I will have my oil change done by them again once it's due. I also like Speedstar a lot, I had them do some work on my supra, saw a couple of pcars in there as well...

I had my car taken to a certain p dealer in the bottom of the city.

The tow truck driver took a photo of the only "ding" on my car as he picked the car up to go to the dealer.

The dealer noted that small damage and no other damage on my car on their sign in sheet.

But...
When it arrived at Sportscar Boutique, they noticed another ding on my door. They are good about that. The car had just got there, but they noticed it.

The dealer offered to pay for half the damage because there is no proof they did it, as the damage was discovered when the car was dropped off at another shop. Interesting that they mark all damage on the car when it comes, but not when it leaves.

Crazy, what are the odds I would ever buy 100k plus car from a shop like that???

Sportscar Boutique have been really good to deal with, but they are a little out of the way.

I buy tires, parts, setup, maintenance and oil changes with them. For the level of knowledge they seem reasonable.

Thanks guys...am based downtown so would prefer a place close by but GTEK seems to be the closest option for me or going back to the dealer where I purchased the car from provided they can perform the service while I wait.

Oil changes and wheel swaps are simple for you to do yourself. You will save tons of money and get to know your car better while you do it.

Start there, progress to other things.

Wish I had access to a garage so that I could work on my car & bikes but unfortunately I am limited to a 'parking spot' and it's difficult to do much in a condo situation

If you're close by and doing an oil change in the near future, I would not mind watching while you work so that I can learn

you may also want to try Pecaso Automotive (McCowan and Sheppard). They have turned into Porsche / German specialists. They are very , very familiar with Porsches. Their manager Phil drives his Carrera like he stole it ! but maintains it like its glass :-)

If you're looking more central to TO, you may want to try Tweaks Performance. They're located at 218 Evans Avenue, Etobicoke. Leo is the owner and he services Porsche and may other exotics ... ie Aston, Lamborghini, etc.

I had gone to see Jack in 2004 when I bought my last car [a 540i stick] and his PPI report led to me getting $1500 in free service from the BMW dealership: best $125 I ever spent.

I'm waiting for my first Porsche to arrive from Texas [a 2009 Cayenne GTS in GTS red with PDCC and stick shift] and am intending to take it into Jack again for a thorough once over.

He seems to run a quality shop but now that I'm up in Richmond Hill I will also keep an eye out for good service shops up this way for regular service.

Counting the days till the new ride arrives... So sick of the rental Passat.

Dave.
