Taking the Cayenne on the beach questions

I don't see why now with the safety regs that are around the world they don't put a central tire inflation system (CTIS) on vehicles. Then you could regulate pressures from the driver seat.
But yeah make sure to air them up once you get back that 1/4 mile to hard ground. LOL

i take mine to the cape, and really have no issues driving on the beach or trails.
If it is loose sugar sand.... you will struggle and maybe run hot (i did).
but on any semi packed or wet sand you;; be fine, just no sudden stops (let it roll to a stop so it doesn't plow) and keep momentum, its your best friend

I've had mine in the sand dunes a fair bit. Whilst not quite a patrol or land cruiser, they are fine.
Run pressures on an 18" wheel at about 12- 15psi, no more. Dont put in low, or use diff locks unless you are stuck. Turn off all the PASM toys. Keep it in manual and use 1st / 2nd year. Keep the car moving all the time, or have it parked on a slight slope, or hard sand.
Once stuck, dont spin wheels, and put into low range, diffs locked, always try to reverse out first. If you have air suspension the on board will allow you to reinflate, but the compressor may need rest between tyres, as it over heats and cuts out other wise.
