Question Cayenne S- 19's or 20's ??

Am considering a '04 Cayenne S w/ Air Suspension. Want a performance wheel/tire set-up for summer driving. Want an all- around performer with good ride comfort, yet ability to handle spirited runs thru the twisties. Don't want to trade off much ride comfort/predictable handling for that last 5% of ultimate cornering ability at the limit. The 20's obviously look the best, but do they perform the best , overall ??

The 19's wil do just fine with a good tire. 20's will give you a harder ride air sus. or not.

Thumbs down

I don't think "duece deuce" will quite fill the bill in the ride department, or do you know of a 22 with "Magic" Sidewalls??

I think 20's look best

I am looking for some 20's in the future also, but I am also looking for light ones that have as wide as possible width. I like the Champions because they are light but I think they only come in 9" widths. does anyone know of 20's that do not weight more than 30 +- 1 or 2 lbs that have tread width of 10"'s and up?

I had the 20' Sport Technos with air suspension and the ride was definately harsher than with 18"'s, but they definately do not look nearly as good

Nothing but Dubs will do your cayenne justice. They will look better and handle better although ride comfort will be sacrificed a bit.

Lightbulb

Putting track shoes on a rhinoceros might provide a miniscule increase in it's ability to run quickly around a corner, while turning it's knees into a painful mess. Don't you think that high performance running shoes are a better choice? Whether you use track or running shoes- 2.5+ tons is alot of weight to finesse thru the twisties, plus track shoes cost significantly more and last significantly fewer miles...... Just my 22 cents.
