I took a chance on buying the billet aluminum exclusive shifter and all I can say is this is what should come on the Cayenne standard. It is solid and feels just right. It often looked really big in pictures, but in reality while it is larger it is not obnoxious. Here are a couple quick photos for anyone interested.

Nice leather trim option for the console and dash segments.

 

It is rather nice. I think the brown part is actually un-glossy wood trim. It appeared to me to be leather at first until I zoomed way in - and can see what appears to be leather grain is actually wood grain. I do rather like it...

I want this so badly. Just never been able to bring myself to spend $600 on a shif ****.

 

To answer an earlier comment, the light color is wood as you mentioned. It is the natural olive option so it has a flat non-gloss finish.

I will take some pictures of both together for comparison.

 

I too refused for almost two years, but eventually figured I would. Cars are my vice I guess, I don't drink, smoke or gamble so I have to give my wife a reason to give me the look.

 

Its how I ordered my pepper. Porsches are expensive. If youre goingto raise an eyebrow to the cost of the aluminum shifter wait till yourfirst oil change

 

I learned from you guys and only deliberated on this for a few days before ordering this online last night from Circle Porsche of Long Beach, CA. My interior color is luxor beige, so I wonder if it actually has any wood portions or if the interior color portions are all comprised of leather.
