2012 Maserati GT MC (US)
Hi,
Are all GT MC Sportlines based on the GT Sport, then with added trim, fenders, bumpers, hood and carbon? Are there any powerplant differences, or any features I'm "missing" with just a Sport vs an MC? Sorry I couldn't find this clearly explained anywhere. This is a US MC Sportline that has rear seats, two hood vents, straight splitter, rear diffuser, etc.
Also, can anyone tell me about MCs that have the crown logo on the roof, is there anything special about that? I heard that this was a factory installed option, but not sure if it means anything else beyond that, like a limited edition.
(This car has "MC Sportline" on the sills and spoiler.)

info I gleaned from a recent Factory tour in Oct 2015 - US Market never received the MC Stradale unlike us in Australia that were allocated 20 cars. The US MC is similar to our MC Spec Granturismo - same 4.7lt powerplant across GT S, GT MC Spec and MC Stradale. The MC Stradale version benefits from better weight distribution, transaxle gearbox, more lightweight carbon fibre goodies, and the option of Sport AND Race mode which speeds up gearshifts and opens up the valves of the exhaust earlier giving that glorious V8 rumble even at low engine revs.
I just sold my MC Stradale last week - will miss it dearly but was spooked by a friend who earlier this week had his go up in flames for reasons unknown whilst idling at lights. Currently subject of insurance investigations.
