Used 2013-14 Panamera GTS - or - New 2017 Panamera S ???
#4
Well, I want to drive whatever I buy both day and night.
Seriously, a 2013-4 Panamera GTS has the last of the V8's but the 2017 Panamera S has all the new tech and the updated look (if you prefer it).

Oh got it. Is the 17 GTS confirmed to not have a V8? I spoke to a GM friend who went back to Germany for the launch. He said the Panny 4S was sweet. I seriously like the new look and tech.

I was told the 17 Panamera GTS will be a Turbo 6.

There is obviously a pretty substantial price difference (2017 starts at $100k and by the time you have some options you are at a minimum of $110), you can get a GTS with low miles below $80k, thus $30,000
If this is no issue, I would get the new model 4S: all experience and improvements went into this car, power is almost the same, it is prettier etc to name a few things
Having said this, I would wait 6-8 months and not buy the first models, they will have issues, recalls and challenges that typically take a while to be remedied (I got burned badly twice).
Or: get a GTS for say $80k and a Mazda Miata for fun zips around town (the Panamera is big!)

I drove the 2016 Panamera and while it is big it drives smaller. But that was just a test drive.

The amazing thing is how the Panamera shrinks the faster you go, especially on mountain roads....

Indeed. I LOVE that about the car. My PTT w/PDCC has superb road holding. For the OP: go drive both and decide.

Do others agree it is wise to wait 3-6 months after the intro of the 2017 Panamera to be sure the factory has the bugs out, recalls, etc.?

It's tricky to schedule a drive of a Used or CPO 2013-20014 Panamera GTS on the same day you drive a Demo 2017 Panamera S.
