So, when are you going to take it to the 1/4 mile and see what it does, maybe a new record also then?...
Yes I know you are more of the road racer type and enjoy that more...
But that's when everything comes into play,,that is the ultimate test for us old time street racer gearheads, the 1/4..

Well John, I would have to reassemble the gearbox and engines as they're
both in several pieces right now lol!
I tried a few 1/4 mile runs ( not at the drag strip) and I suck at it!
I live in Birmingham Alabama and everybody here does 1/4 mile.
Some peeps underestimate the skill it takes to get get the most
out of a car in the 1/4. I don't and these cars are exceptionally
difficult to master.
I like all types of racing and I love to go to the drag strip from
time to time but I'm no 1/4 mile driver!

I just got lambasted for calling bs on AMS. I called them out on it and boy was that stupid! It looks like I'm being
a poor sport and a hypocrite because I've been rantin and ravin about
Tim picking on Markski.
Hey, I deserve it. I could have gone about it way less overtly lol.

The 997 platform is 60-80whp better than the 996 platform from the get go and you have 350lbs of weight loss...so factor that in too, before you get your panties in a wad again...

Way to man up and admit you over reacted. I guess this was the point I was trying to make in a subtle kind of way. Don't get all worked up over dyno numbers...real world numbers count...You're 5.35 is still impressive...they just did better. Who KNOWS what else they have that you don't...In the end, all it proves is that it CAN be done...that's good for all of us...

P.S. Switzer's dyno graphs all clearly state BHP, so you're in the same boat there.

I answered everyone of them with details about the mods,
weight loss etc.... I wanted to share and help peeps obtain
the same. I wanted everybody that spent money on these setups
to match or exceed my car lol!
I never had a problem with their ousting my record. However,
it would have nice if it had been a regular guy instead of a vendor
using it in a marketing campaign.
I forget that no one here knows me and I'm acting as if they do.
And of course I can see my fault in this.

The AMS 60-130 post that Mbailey put up states clearly that the kit makes 800+ CRANK hp on pump. Big difference from whp. Factor in driveline loss and the numbers match up pretty well. Some tuners use an engine dyno, which obviously will give a much higher hp #. These are all things to consider before questioning a tuner's credibility and pricepoints.

run. Check out their website. They're claiming 800 crank on pump.
I have spoken with well known and honest vendors, (people you know)
off the boards and off the record.... they are the ones who told me
about this kind of stuff several months ago. Gregg at Tialsport calls
bs and he's seen the graphs. He doesn't have to worry about his business
interest on the boards.
This coming on the heels of my givin the Lambo guys a hard time and
going to bat for Markski relative to Tim....... not good lol.
I've always given Lambo guys grief about the no race history thing.
I had a countach poster when I was a kid and I even bought a Gallardo lol.
I have nothing against Lamborghini and I think the Aventador is a
engineering Marvell and a drop dead gorgeous car.
