You Have 24 Hours With a Rolls-Royce, What Do You Do With It?
With looks to seduce, luxury to dazzle, and a turbocharged V12 to blow everyone away, this new Rolls-Royce isn’t for chauffeurs.
It’s the kind of adventure that lingers in your subconscious as you try to fall asleep. You know, similar to the “what-would-I-do-if-I-won-the-lotto?” idea, which enters the mind as your body is exhausted and your brain delirious.
Thankfully for me, this isn’t a dream, nor a magical adventure I’m playing out in my head. Not that I haven’t dreamed of this very thing before, of course. I will be spending a day behind the wheel of a 2017 Rolls-Royce Dawn, and I’m trying to figure out what to do with it? Remember, this isn’t your fancy-pants Rolls that warrants a chauffeur, this is the Instafamous, sparkling-water-aficionado Rolls that’s meant to be driven and thoroughly enjoyed with the top down.
The Dawn is so obscenely pretty that the engine under the hood is almost irrelevant. It could be powered by a hamster on a wheel, and it would still be desirable. Nonetheless, Rolls-Royce stuffed a 6.6-liter turbocharged 12-cylinder motor, capable of producing 563 horsepower. Now that’s a lot of power and a lot of coolness.
So, besides driving around the countryside, cruising on the highway, and making the mandatory fast food drive-thru stop, what should I do?
You never know, I might actually steal your answer and live out your British mega-luxury-convertible dream!
