How to Remove 'User Profiles' from 2005-2010 OEM Radio/Navigation System

Purchased an OEM radio, and it has two of the previous owners names in it as a user profile/key - is it possible to delete these 'old' profiles? Thank you

Yes. When I got my '09 I had to do the same but I don't remember how. I think the instructions are in the OM though.

Any chance you can grab a screenshot of the instructions, and/or know a good link for the owners manual? All I could find was a service manual. Thank you. Cheers

Sorry, I lost that car to a flood 4 years ago. I think if you poke around in the setup menu to edit a profile you'll be able to delete it.

Ahh. I have been messing around, can't seem to find any 'delete' button. I found the way to rename the profiles. If anyone has the instructions, please post! Is there a way to factory reset settings, or something of the sort? Does 'assign key' have anything to do with it? I don't want to lock myself out

Also, when I first turn on the car, the head unit display shows the three key profile names (for whatever reason my key is in the second position - only have one physical key), before I have to press the continue button. Any way to not have that screen display upon turning on the car? Don't believe the old head unit did that.

Thank you

@mrc00l88 ,
I can not remember exactly how, as I did it when I installed the 2010 Infotainment head unit in my GT, when I get back to the car I can check it out, but that won't be today or tomorrow..

Maybe this will help.

Johnny
