Lucas Luhr and Klaus Graf made it look easy this weekend at Lime Rock. The pair of drivers consistently set fastest practice times and put their Muscle Milk/Pickett Racing Honda Racing Development ARX-03c on the pole. Chris Dyson, Celebrating his team’s 30th anniversary in racing, fought hard to keep pace with Graf in the early stages, even swapping the lead several times. A problem with a safety belt during a driver change put Dyson more than a lap down. The Dyson team was not able to catch Pickett Racing after that. Dyson had to settle for a second place on their 30th anniversary.

In the P2 class there was a bit of controversy between Ryan Briscoe and Guy Cosmo when Briscoe passed Cosmo aggressively, resulting in contact between the two. Briscoe was penalized seven points. They were credited with the win however their points were reduced to those of a third place finish.

Team RLL drivers Dirk Muller and John Edwards drove their GT class, number 56 BMW Z4 GTE to a .905 second victory over the Corvette driven by Antonio Garcia and Jan Magnussen.

In the Prototype Challenge class Bruno Junqueira and Duncan Ende gave RSR Racing its first class win. A late, full course yellow led to a four minute sprint to the finish. Junqueira kept Team RSR’s ORCEA FLM09 just .905 seconds ahead of Colin Braun’s CORE Autosport machine for the win.

In GTC, Flying Lizard motorsports looked to be back to their past form taking both the pole and a convincing win. Spencer Pumpelly and Nelson Canache Jr. now just one point behind class leader Henrique Cisneros, who late race accident held him to an eighth place finish.

For the next round of the ALMS championship the teams will travel north of the border, for the Mobil 1 presents the Grand Prix of Mosport at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park in Bowmanville, Ontario on Sunday, July 21.
