Aston Martin Lagonda Shows Up at Car Meet (Video)

By -

When you have the only $1 million Aston Martin Lagonda in North America you’d think more people would notice.

We came across this video by effspot, a YouTuber known for some entertaining videos with some amazing cars. He’s solidly a blogger, so adjust your expectations if you don’t know the name. This time he lured us in with the headline, “The $1 MILLION Aston Martin You’re Never Heard Of”. Yeah right! So, we clicked on it. Yep, the Lagonda, we’ve heard of it. The quick version: less than 200 were made, they went for about $1 million each, 540-hp V12, and a manufacturer-estimated 195 mph top speed.

According to effspot Aston only filled 120 orders but committed to building no more than 200 in total. No matter how many incredibly rich people lined up, just 200 would be made.  Though the Lagonda, once a Middle Eastern exclusive, is the headline car it only makes a few brief appearances in the video. If you ask us, even though the V12 dates back a few years, twelve-cylinders is the right number for a car like this. Some incredible things have been done with V8s and V10s, not to mention forced induction. But the sound and the refinement of a V12 just can’t be beat.

All that and the bystanders at the show, held at Lamborghini Newport Beach, don’t even bat an eyelash. If you’d expect a crowd to recognize something rare, you’d think it would be this crowd. But, as we see later, they all go running when the dealership fires up an Aventador SV.

The rest is a tour of the rare and exotic of southern Orange County. Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster? Yep. Fake Jaguar F Type R? Ironically, yes. Rezvani Tank? For real, with Jamie Foxx at the wheel.

What is your favorite from the video?
