Porsche Carrera GT vs. a 918 Spyder – Who Wins?

We no longer live in a world where the fastest supercars are naturally aspirated monsters, screaming at 8-9,000 rpm. No, we now live in a world where the fastest cars on the planet make use of turbos or electricity. And while we can all lament the days of old, those original supercars, those naturally aspirated beasts from hell are still around, and sometimes, they come out to play.

In the video below, we have a somewhat meeting of the old school and the new school, or when a Porsche 918 comes up against its genesis, the Porsche Carrera GT.

That’s right, the naturally aspirated, RWD, with a 5.7L V10 running up against the AWD, electrified, all-wheel steer hypercar that is the 918 Spyder. Watch as new school decimates old school.

Here’s the thing though, watching the video above, the Carrera GT doesn’t look or sound like its driver is giving it the full beans. What do you all think, do you think the Carrera GT just saw how badly it was being beaten and just gave up?
