Plenty of great restoration projects have emerged from barns. This one, the occupant of a barn for the past 30 years, is a bit different. Not only is it a BMW M1, but it’s the “first BMW M1 prototype Lamborghini produced.”

The i8, it’s the electric sports car from BMW that causes people to turn heads without making a sound. It’s an homage to the M1 in shape and nearly in exclusivity without needing as much fuel. Yet, there are people who still want more, who want more speed and lighter weight.

The official word hasn’t been released on the BMW website about the BMW i8 Spyder production though the rumors are true, BMW will build the convertible i8 Spyder.

Both vehicles are brutal, tough to control examples of their respective types. So, there is a lot of lore and love with both the Ferrari F40 and the BMW S1000RR among their peers but if put to the test, which one would really have the advantage?
