Because racecar! This popular saying developed from peoples’ love of high performance racing vehicles. A trademark of many race cars is the lettering that appears on the tires. But if you’ve every tried to stencil your own lettering on to tires, you’ve probably realized they didn’t last long.

TredWear is a company that has a new, patented method for lettering your tires at home that not only is easy to do, but the results look great afterwards. The folks at /DRIVE tried them out themselves recently, and here are the results.

Make sure you stay tuned to the very end when they try to get the lettering to come off with a power washer. Even with that much water pressure, they’re still as good as new.
