Clash of the Titans: AMS Alpha Omega GT-R vs. Underground Racing’s TT Gallardo

This is something of a dream battle for fans of high-horsepower, high-speed tuners. The Lamborghini Gallardo is a performance icon, whilst Nissan’s GT-R is a technophiles wet dream. Both are neck-snapingly quick stock, but in the right hands they can be molded into speed demons without equal. That said, there are no more capable hands than those of Underground Racing and AMS Performance. Lucky for us, they shared the same curiosity as we did about how their best stack up against each other. The results are predictably awesome.

UGR brought out two twin-turbo Gallardos to King of the Street last month. Both are the top level of tune they offer, putting down over 1500 hp each.  They’re impressive, no question… But, AMS aren’t exactly newbies either.

Namely, they’re the proud builders of worlds fastest and quickest GT-R: The Alpha and Omega. Currently that 1500 hp+ beast runs the quarter in 8.6 seconds. Before that, AMS built the worlds fastest EVO, with it putting down a time of 8.4 seconds flat. Like UGR, they build monsters.
