Is this the Production Version of the Lexus LF-NX Concept?

Production Lexus NX

It seems as though an image of the Lexus LF-NX compact crossover has leaked ahead of its predicted Geneva Motor Show debut.

Lexus first showed us the LF-NX at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

A month later, the LF-NX showed up at the Tokyo Motor Show with a revised front splitter to go along with the announcement of a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine under the concept’s hood.

Now we have an image (top) of what appears to be the production version of the LF-NX, which will probably be called the Lexus NX. This image was displayed behind Toyota CEO Jim Lentz at the Society of Automotive Analysts Auto Outlook Conference held just before the Detroit Auto Show. Video of the conference is below, with the NX appearing at the 10:39 mark.

While this apparent production model is a bit toned down from the concept, I think it is Lexus’ best execution of the L-finesse design language. The image of the production vehicle may be grainy and shadowy, but from what I can see, the design looks very organic.

If the concept’s 2.0-liter turbo engine makes its way into the production model, the Lexus NX will open the door for more turbos appearing underneath Lexus hoods.
