HGK Racing Design Engineer E92 Eurofighter

To be known for building some of the world’s best drift cars, you need a man with a vision and an eye for detail. That man is Harjis Skupelis.

When we first laid eyes on the HGK E92 M3 Eurofighter, we were impressed. When we looked closer at the detail and the finish, we knew why the E92 Eurofighter made it to SEMA 2017. Then, when we heard it performed as well as it looked, we had to know more. We reached out to Valdis Kikusts, manager for HGK Motorsport from Riga, Latvia, to find out more about the process and the company behind Kristaps Bluss and his incredible drift cars.

Kikusts responded and wrote: “The inspiration behind the Eurofighter and the E92/F22 builds was to go on with the newer chassis after the E46…our design engineer, Harjis [Skupelis], saw it as a new challenge for him to design something from scratch and offer it to the people.”

Now, of course we knew of Harjis Skupelis as the man behind the quality, and one of the founders of HGK Motorsports. So, of course, we followed up with him to find out a bit more about the man behind the beautifully-functional carbon-Kevlar M3 we saw at SEMA.
