Ferrari Enzo F70 Spotted!

A spy photographer caught a couple shots of the this sleek camouflaged car touring around in Maranello. Even though it’s wrapped up in plack plastic, there’s little doubt that this is the 2014 Enzo. Besides sharing the distinctive shape of Ferrari’s road-going racecar, they both share the same doors. Also, the rear hatch looks more like the one on James Glickenhaus’ p4/5 than the one on the outgoing FXX. Considering how popular that car has been with the Ferrari fans the world over, it wouldn’t be terribly suprising to see it come through in a production model. Of course, this is plainly a test mule, so and speculation on how it’ll actually look is way, way early.

What we do know, or at least have an idea of, is what kind of power the new car will be getting. Thankfully it’ll be powered by a V12 like the last Enzo, though it’ll also make use of Ferrari’s F1 derived KERS system. Technically that mean’s it’s a hybrid in the same sense that the Porsche 918 Spyder is a hybrid. Like the Porsche it’ll also be a powerhouse, but with close to 1000 hp. They’ll both be AWD to boot.

Like the rest of the industry, we’re keeping a close ear to the ground on this one. Everyone loves the Enzo and we can hardly wait to see what Ferrari comes up with when it’s done. After all, the 2013 Geneva Autoshow is only a year away.
