6SpeedOnline was present at the 2017 New York Auto Show, where auto makers brought out their big guns to wow the media and visitors alike.

Despite the official international auto show season kicking off every November in LA, Detroit typically counts as the year’s first and most important auto show. Unfortunately, the North American International Auto Show in the Motor City left a big void due to its lackluster roster of unveilings, and Chicago was less than stellar.

That could only mean one thing — it was up to the Big Apple to take the spotlight, and show America what it’s been missing out on all year long. Thankfully that’s exactly what happened, with Porsche bringing the 2018 911 GT3, and the gorgeous Panamera Sport Turismo (don’t call it a wagon!).

In the three-pointed star’s booth, several glitzy AMGs made sure to stop photographers and passersby on their tracks. A stunning and very green AMG GT R dubbed the “Beast of Green Hell” sat at the very front of the pack, reminding folks of the brand’s heritage at the famous Nurburgring.

Audi made sure to rock the Javits Center with their new RS3, TT RS, and an evil-looking R8 GTLM race car. Of course, how could we forget about the one single vehicle that stole every day leading up to the show — the Dodge Demon. With 840 horsepower and a ridiculous 0-60 mph time of 2.3 seconds, it’s an American supercar in its own right. All-in-all, the 2017 New York Auto Show gave us more spice, more luxe, and more lust than utility, value, and common sense. And for some reason, we’re totally okay with that!
