Inside Look into Ken Lingenfelter’s Car Collection
Here’s some good old fashioned carporn for everyone (courtesy of the good people at Jalopnik). Recently, they gave us an inside look into the perfetly ridiculous private car collection of the one and only Ken Lingenfelter.
As we know, the Lingenfelter name is a laudable part of the aftermarket performance industry with their tendency to pull from GM’s stable and bolt on high-output pieces of kit to turn any number of LS powered production cars into monstrous track superstars. Quick history lesson, Ken Lingenfelter bought the Lingenfelter Performance Engineering company from his distant cousin, NHRA legend, John Lingenfelter in 2008.
Outside of this acquisition, what you might not have known was that Ken’s personal Lingenfelter Collection began with a simple history. After making his wealth in the real estate industry, Ken built his collection from the ground up, car by car, starting with 1969 Jaguar XKE (his Corvettes were purchased for non-collection purposes).
It’s like a automotive obsessor’s wet dream, fueld by Amazon Prime. Literally like Ken made appointments with every performance shop in the world and refused to leave unless he had a new car. One would assumes the collection to be made up of Corvettes; they’re in there, but mixed among a wide variety of domestics, imports, and exotics.
We’ll save the full story for the people who were there, but for now, here’s a drool worthy gallery of Ken’s seriously amazing gallery.
