In The Lamborghini Huracan, Everything Is Six Sided

Is The Huracan Worth Its $250,000 Price Tag? In A Word, Absolutely!

Auto Trader columnist and neurotic car enthusiast Doug DeMuro gets his hands on a fan’s Lamborghini Huracan, and takes the opportunity to run down all of the reasons why it is one of the best Lamborghinis ever, and one of the best Italian sports cars of the modern era. Audi has transformed Lamborghini’s entry level model into a truly amazing car that is just good at everything it does, and still manages to look as striking as something designed by someone named Fillipo Perini. It is equal parts capable and gorgeous, as it is equal parts Italian flair and German seriousness.

What do you mean that “everything is six-sided?”

It is amusing, at the very least, to open the video by pointing out all of the things that are six-sided on the car, from the intake vents to the indents on the fuel filler cap. There are hexagons everywhere. It’s an angular car, and the six-sided thing plays nicely with the design. Following the lineage of Lamborghini from the Countach onward, you expect a Lambo to be multifaceted and angular and edgy and sharp. It’s a pointy car, exactly how you want it to be a pointy car. It is a design that really should not work, but somehow it absolutely does.

From there, Doug takes some time to show us the inside of the car. He is enamored with the Virtual Cockpit dashboard display, and is somewhat put off by the shape of the side window mirrors for some odd reason. After poking around for a bit, he then takes the car for a quick spin to enjoy the experience. He revels in that glorious V10 engine note, and who can blame him. Is this car surprisingly good? Does it end up on Doug’s list of utterly surprising driving experiences? You’ll just have to watch the video to find out.
