Lambo SC18 Alston is a road-going interpretation of Huracán Super Trofeo Evo race car…and it is badass.

Lamborghini Squadra Corse has unveiled the SC18 Alston, the first one-off in the history of the Sant’ Agata Bolognese motorsport division. The unique example, designed in synergy with the customer and Centro Stile Lamborghini, is road approved but designed primarily for use on the track. The SC18 Alston paves the way to further personalized development projects for motorsport customers under the Squadra Corse brand. This is akin to competitor models like the Aston Martin Valkyrie and McLaren Senna.

The car features extreme aerodynamics, developed specifically for this model and derived from Squadra Corse’s experience in competition. The racing elements start from the hood, with air intakes in the style of the Huracán GT3 Evo. From there, the sides and rear feature fenders, fins and airscoops are inspired by the Huracán Super Trofeo Evo. This aero package is completed by a large carbon fiber wing with three mechanical adjustments. Lest you be worried you can’t optimize your downforce package for each individual circuit you visit. In addition, the twelve air intakes formed on the rear hood. This solution has already tested successfully in endurance races, improving heat exchange and cooling of the engine. The rear is characterized by the specific exhausts and terminals with a unique design and sound.

This intense aero package, top and bottom, results in a ground clearance of just 4.3-inches. Be careful not to ding the nose on any curbs. We suspect this doesn’t have the same nose lift of the road car. We are also willing to bet that the cost of a replacement will make even the finest leather wallets wrinkle in shock.

Of course, who cares about a scraped bumper, we have bigger news here. Despite being based on the V10-powered Huracán, the SC18 Alston has a fantastic, mid-engine surprise. The powertrain is top-of-the-line Lamborghini, which, the brand claims, “delivers the performance of a true racing car.” It’s a naturally-aspirated 6.5-liter V12, not unlike the mill used in the Lamborghini Aventador. In the SC18 Alston, it delivers 770 hp at 8,500 RPM and 531 lb-ft of torque at 6,750 RPM. Shifting duties are handled via the 7-speed ISR (Independent Shifting Rod) gearbox, which has been given a custom calibration. We are guessing it’s even more violent, and intoxicating, than the road cars.

SC18 Alston will come in one, very evocative, color combo. The carbon fiber body is done in the Grigio Daytona (grey), with detail work completed in red screen-printing. Squadra Corse says this palette “enhances its sportiness,” lest you be worried your Lamborghini track car blends in too much. The look is completed by the motorsport-grade centerlock wheels, which measure 20” on the front and 21” on the rear. Those wheels are wrapped in a specially developed Pirelli P Zero Corsa tire, which is both road legal, and very racy. The cockpit features Nero Ade (black) Alcantara with cross-stitching in Rosso Alala (red), and carbon fiber bucket seats.  Naturally, an in-car telemetry system is fitted, to measure all aspects of on-track performance.

Want one? Well, join the club. All prospective buyers should contact the team at Squadra Corse, and prepare to write a very large check. There is no listed production cap, nor is there listed price, but, as the old saying goes, “if you have to ask…”
