The Lamborghini Urus Concept Was Leaked Five Years Ago

Lamborghini is an amazing brand of exotic supercars and they just launched the Urus SUV. Did you know the concept was came out over 5 years ago?

For ages that which alludes us seems to allure us into wanting more. Are we wanting more or just wanting to be in the know? Often times once we have seen behind the curtain, the magic and wonder escapes. How many times have we seen a concept car and gone crazy for it only to be disappointed by the final production version? Many times, however that is not just because of the car, but because the mystery is gone. For over 5 years there have been rumors of the Lamborghini SUV Urus. Many were starting to wonder if it was the unicorn of Lamborghini, really exists.

In this video, Ed Bolian from VinWiki shares his experience of the secret New York Meeting to meet the first concept of the Urus. He was ushered into a warehouse, taken through security and asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement. Lamborghini wanted feedback on the design and price point. Ed gave them his notes and returned home. He asked Lamborghini if he could share about the meeting and was told “yes”. So he wrote up a quick article for his site and with in hours saw his site be trampled by internet traffic.

Jalopnik and every other news site had linked to Ed’s site. Then the phone calls come into to Ed demanding removal of the article. He even tried to get other news sites to take the article down. His main concern: will I lose my job? Well, generally, yes, when you sign a non-disclosure agreement that means lips are to be sealed. The question is: did Lamborghini make an inside decision to allow a leak to turn up the fire on the brand?
