Lamborghini Yacht Brings Supreme Italian Style & Speed to High Seas
Stylish new Lamborghini yacht combines decades of distinct design influences with serious performance.
Lots of luxury and sports car makers have tried their hand at slapping their name on a water-bound vessel. Everyone from Ferrari to Lexus, Porsche, Aston Martin, Bugatti, and Mercedes-Benz. And now, Lamborghini is throwing their hat in the ring as well with a new boat dubbed the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63. But this Lamborghini yacht isn’t just some normal boat with a few badges slapped on it.
No, this thing actually looks like a Lamborghini automobile and a luxurious yacht decided to start a family. There are road car references everywhere you look, some of them familiar Lambo styling cues from the past and present. There are hints of the Miura and the Countach of the 60s and 70s in the hull and superstructure. The hard top is inspired by Lamborghini roadsters, while the bow lights are an homage to the Lamborghini Terzo Millennio concept and the Sián FKP 37.
As you’d expect from such a fine vessel, exterior and interior colors, as well as liveries, can all be customized through Lamborghini’s Ad Personam program. Inside, the operator’s space certainly looks like the cockpit of a hypercar. There you’ll find Lamborghini’s trademark clean lines, hexagon shapes, Y-motif, and materials incorporated into the design. Overall, this Lamborghini Yacht certainly lives up to brand’s styling image But it’s also packing some serious performance chops as well.
Powered by two MAN V12-2000 hp engines, the Lambo boat is capable of reaching speeds of 60 knots, or around 69 miles-per-hour. That’s good enough to make it the fastest vessel in the Tecnomar fleet. But the yacht is also constructed from carbon fiber, which keeps the weight down as well. In this case, a svelte 24 tons, which is nothing for a 63-foot-long machine. In fact, it puts this motor yacht firmly in the ultra-lightweight boat classification.
Add it all up, and you’ve got the perfect supercar for the water to match your land-based supercar. Deliveries of the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 will begin in 2021, too. So those lucky folks won’t have to wait much longer to complete their matching pair.
