New Series, New Season, New Car for Flying Lizard Motorsports

Flying Lizard Motorsports has had a long association with Porsche. Since the team’s beginning over a decade ago, they have found great success campaigning Porsches in the ALMS series. Porsche pulled their factory backing at the end of the 2012 ALMS season to focus on their return to Le Mans with a Factory based LMP1 car for 2014.

Flying Lizard Motorsports and Audi of America have announced their plans to race two Audi R8 LMS cars in the inaugural 2014 TUDOR United Sports Car Championship starting with the 24 Hours of Daytona. The cars will carry the numbers 35 and 45 and will be powered by a naturally aspirated Audi V10. The cars will be competing in the GT Daytona class. The GT Dayton class is sure to be a highly contested class. With the 24 Hours of Daytona less than four months away, the team entry list is starting to fill up.
