The Cadillac Grand Prix at Road America will be the first time the PWC has been back to Elkhart Lake Wisconsin since 2009. The big announcement about this weekend’s race is the return of Bentley with Dyson Racing. The new team, designated Dyson Racing Team Bentley, will have one Continental GT3 in the skilled hands of racing veteran Butch Leitzinger for the remainder of the 2014 season.

The 4.048 mile, 14 turn circuit has a great balance of fast straights and tight turns with some excellent passing opportunities.

Bentley PWCIn GT, look for Johnny O’Connell and the entire Cadillac team to be strong coming off of their domination at Belle Isle. O’Connell is leading in the championship by 81 points. Anthony Lazzaro in the R. Ferri Motorsports Ferrari 458 GT3 Italia is having a great season so far. Lazzaro is in second place in the championship and a definite contender for the top spot on the podium.  Third in the standings is Andrew Palmer in the Global Motorsports Group Audi R8 Ultra. Palmer has had a fairly consistent season so far, only missing the podium twice in 6 rounds.

The GT-A drivers have their sights set on the points leader, Michael Mills in the EFFORT Racing Porsche GT3R. Mills leads by 18 points over Tim Pappas, in the Black Swan Racing Mercedes AMG SLS GT3, and Henrik Hedman, in the DragonSpeed Ferrari 458 GT3 Italia, who are tied for second.

The GTS championship battle couldn’t be much closer. Racing icon Jack Baldwin in his GTSport Racing Porsche Cayman S, has a one point lead over the Kia Motors America Kia Optima of Mark Wilkins. The other Kia of Nic Jonsson is in fourth, one point behind the Rehagen Racing Ford Mustang Boss 302 of, Belle Isle double winner, Dean Martin.
