Revealed: McLaren P1 Performance Specs
Until now, the McLaren P1’s performance has been disseminated in approximate figures. Now McLaren is providing us with the P1’s exact stats, and they are impressive, so let’s dive in, shall we?
McLaren P1 Specs
- 727-horsepower, 531-lb-ft twin-turbocharged (up to 34.8 psi) 3.8L V8
- 177-horsepower, 192-lb-ft electric motor
- Combined system output of 903 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque
- 0-62 mph in 2.8 seconds
- 0-124 mph in 6.8 seconds
- 0-186 mph in 16.5 seconds (5.5 seconds faster than the McLaren F1)
- 1/4 Mile: 9.8 seconds @ 152 mph (Bugatti Veyron 1/4 Mile:10.5 seconds @ 140.2 mph)
- 217-mph top speed (governed)
- 3,100-lb curb weight (approximate, and yet to be confirmed)
- Price: $1.15 million
Although an official Nürburgring lap time has yet to surface, we predict McLaren can beat the Porsche 918 Spyder’s 6:57. Just for fun, I’ll throw this number out there: 6:54.
The first McLaren P1s are now rolling off the Woking production line, and are expected to reach North America early in 2014.
