For the past five years, RM Sotheby’s has hosted its Southern California event in Santa Monica. Moving to the Petersen Automotive Museum in L.A. for 2018, the caliber of the event, dubbed “The Petersen Automotive Museum Auction,” is much more expanzie and will feature approximately 50-60 blue-chip automobiles, hand-selected by RM Sotheby’s global team of 30 car specialists.
Of course, a quick perusal of the attending lots showcases more than just the finest exotic cars. There is a surprising amount of automotive and automotive-inspired art, as well. At present, there are 141 lots in all up for grabs. Additionally, RM Sotheby’s claims that the Petersen Automotive Museum Auction will “provide a destination weekend for bidders from around the world.”
